You will learn in this part how to set the light up for a model, what type of stand should you use, and when to use two lights instead of one.

Sam will make a detailed demonstration of the set-up of a product table, what to use, and which accessories to apply. He will also give you tricks that would help you keep everything stable with your lights in place.

Why should you use capture one? And how to create a session in it. Sam will teach you how to start using the grey card instead of the light meter and make a test shot. How to also adjust the white balance. And finally, once the colors are good you can start shooting the product.

A detailed explanation of a photoshoot of collector shoes. There are certain steps you should follow at the beginning of each shoot: First you should know how to prep your shoes, second learn how to check for overexposure, third how many shots are requested by your clients, and forth how to adjust your size according to your client request. Finally, you will have to know and expect where the shadows will fall so you can control it.

There will be a detailed description of the model RTW photoshoot, where you should always start first with checking the grey card and exposure. In this section, you will also learn how and where to place your camera to get the same look you can see with your own eye. He will explain all about how to pose, to style, and to work in synchronization with your model. Because being in a good mood always helps on set. It is also very important to keep the rhythm going.

We will see in this lesson a different type of setting with the addition of one more light because not all e-commerce photographers want to do it the same. When it comes to accessories you have to pay attention to the smallest details of the outfit and the accessories itself. That’s why it’s usually important to have a stylist on set, especially in commercial work.

In this section of the online product photography course, Sam will shoot earrings, a ring, and a bracelet on a model. He will make a few changes from the last setting to adjust it to jewelry settings. You will learn tricks on how to shoot reflective objects.

This Is a very affordable way to shoot RTW, because you don’t need a model nor a stylist. One very important thing an experienced e-commerce photographer should know is how to get the insert (the small logo in the fabric on the neck) which is usually not showing when the mannequin is wearing it. That’s a very important thing that your client would always want to see.

What do we mean by editorial? Editorial shots are the shots we use for Instagram, Facebook, and sometimes on the landing page of the website. The set up for editorial shoots is the same we will need to check there’s no overexposure and that we have the proper colors through the grey card. Editorial is always fun because you have the freedom to move things around.

The ultimate question a hard or soft light and which type you should use and why? Some students ask can I use a closed box instead. And how many views or angles do they need to shoot a product on table photography? Sam will answer these questions and tell you why. The first part of each set is always the hardest but once you get it right you just start shooting an item after another without the need for changing the settings. It’s always better to set everything on camera than in post-processing.

This part will be about how to get the perfect shot of a bag with everything in place, with no shadows, sharp texture, and a perfect Logo shot.

In this part, Sam will show you how to set up the table with the modeling lights. He will switch to the macro lens. You will learn a lot of tricks to get rid of all the negative black shadows, get a perfect detailed shot, and to keep everything sharp in the photo from all angles. This was the last part of the shooting now we’ll start post-processing all the images.

Finally, in the post-processing part of the all the photos, you’ll learn all about choosing the right pictures to start editing on photoshop. The online product photography course is covering all the essential tips and steps to help you in starting your career in e-commerce.
